Who is steve?

Steve was born in San Antonio while his father was a law student at St. Mary’s School of Law. Steve and his wife Jennifer met in college and married in 1985, just before he started law school. After graduation, Steve practiced at Bracewell in Houston for 12 years, where both their sons, Will and Austin, were born. In 2000, Steve moved to Bracewell’s Austin office, and the family moved to nearby Dripping Springs. Both boys are grown and gone now, one to New York and one to Washington DC, but Steve and Jen still live on 23 acres there today, where they are active in the Dripping Springs community and their local church.

Personal life

When not at work or serving the legal profession, Steve draws his greatest pleasures from traveling with Jennifer and their sons and from retreating to their home and acreage in Dripping Springs, where he has led the local Boy Scout troop, presided over the school board, and taught the same Sunday school class for 22 years.
